Tremblant has been named the premier ski resort in North America for the 10th consecutive year (since October 1996). According to the results of a recent reader survey in the October 2006 edition of SKI Magazine, Tremblant is THE top destination in the East.
No other mountain has ever set such an impressive record. Vail, in Colorado, has successfully stayed at the top of the national ratings for six years, from 1989 to 1994, but 10 years in a row is simply outstanding! Furthermore, even the big mountain resorts of north-eastern America have been unable to surpass Tremblant on the eastern side of the continent. Other mountains might offer spectacular skiing on a higher vertical drop, but Tremblant's charming resort village is equally impressive for its wide variety of activities, as well as for the proximity of its resort services. Readers' comments also frequently mention Tremblant's entirely unique atmosphere, as well as the many interesting people they've met there.
Over 6,000 readers responded to the survey, which comprised different categories, with the aim of awarding a top ranking. In the east, Tremblant maintained the same classification as last year: #1 for "service" and "food," and #2 for "apres-ski," "other activities", and "overall satisfaction." "Ski lifts," which were ranked fifth last year, moved up to a second-place rating this year.
