It is not 1 nor 2, but 3 new additional hillsides which will be added to the 4 already existing, for a total of 7. The hillsides "Versant de la Cote Ouest", "Versant du Midi" and "Versant des Epinettes", whose trails will respectively be named after cities from California, Florida and Ontario, will offer a variety of easy and intermediate trails and some wooded areas for experts.
If certain people will prefer the reassuring comfort of easy trails, such as the Hollywood, San Diego and San Francisco which can be found on the "Versant de la Cote Ouest"; others, more experienced, will be tempted to try the wooded areas of the "Versant des Epinettes", which owes its name to its location on Spruce Mountain. However, the not-to-be-missed-rendezvous for skiers this winter will undeniably be the "Versant du Midi". Situated on the hillside opposite the "Versant du Village", the "Versant du Midi" bathes in afternoon sunlight and offers, all the way down the hill, the most astonishing picturesque sight of Lake Bromont nestled between the surrounding mountains.
With the opening of 3 new hillsides, Ski Bromont becomes one of the largest skiable areas in Quebec, with a total of 104 trails and wooded areas, including 50 lit trails, making it the largest lit ski area in North America. In order to be able to better service the 3 new hillsides, Ski Bromont has installed a brand new Doppelmayr fix quad chair. "Number 7" is the 5th new quad to be installed in the last 5 years. This lift, which will be in operation during the 2006-2007 season, has been installed on the other side of the mountain, at the base of the brand new hillside "Versant du Midi", where skiers will be able to use services such as parking and toilet facilities.
